With the return of sunny wea ther some progress has been made in the intra-Club matches with interesting results.
W. Field eliminated B. W. Brad. bury, one of the favourites in the Singles championship of the Craigengower C.C., while H, Beer, the champion, beat G. Dutean in
the Third Round.
The Singles, handicap and Pairs competitions have both reached the seini-final round.
At the Kowloon Rowling Green the Handicap Paira and Non-Prize Winners' competitions have now reached the semi-final rounds,
The Taiken Docks R. C. have introduced a new competition, the Singles handicap.

THE MATCH BETWEEN THE KOWLOON BOWLING GREEN CLUB AND THE CRAIGENGOWER "A" TEAM ON SA- TURDAY WAS EXPECTED TO BE A "NEEDLE” GAME, AND ENTHUSIASTS WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. THE STAND- ARD OF BOWLING WAS HIGH THROUGHOUT, AND THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT IF MATCHES OF THIS KIND WERE
WOULD BECOME PLAYED MORE OFTEN, BOWLING
LO. CALLY EVEN MORE POPULAR THAN IT IS AT PRESENT.
There is much however than can be done to make the game more interesting, simply by abiding by the rules and exercising a little more care and thought.
Enthusiasm is commendable, but not when it necessitates the next player asking for the opportunity to deliver his wood. The mal is on the green for a purpose, and its correct use would help everybody to bowl from scratch: at present there are one or two individuals receiving handicaps.
