Where Wave Levelled Village - Drowned 57.
A scene of utter desolation where once stood the little village of Tafjord, Norway, after the tidal wave that blotted it out and drowned 57 people had aubsided. The wave was caused by a rockfall of thousands of tons from a cliff overhanging the Korannes Fjord. Note where boat at left was hurled by the wave.
