A deficit of $24,000,000 for the year ended March 31. as compared, with $43,000,- 000 for the previous year, was announced by the Can- adian Finance Minister, the Hon. Mr. E. N. Rhodes, when introducing the Budget into the House of Commons, ves- terday.
Revenue totalled $324.- 000,000 an increase of $13. 000,000, while the ordinary expenditure was $348,000,- 000.
Mr. Rhodes said, that for the first time since the depres-
