The House of Representatives is facing a furious fight over silver,eclipsing all other Con- gressional controversies. Speaker Rainey is go- ing ahead with his declared intention of testing silver in the House by permitting a vote to-day on the two silver Bills approved by the House Coin- age Committee on March 10.
"I don't care how Mr. Morgenthau feels. I be- lieve we should give the Administration an ́indi- cation of how we feel,” he declared, yesterday.
