ACCIDENT

Midshipman Killed Instantaneously.

A fatal motor car accident oc- curred near the Golf Clubhouse, Fanling, at about 5.45 pm. yester day when Midshipman H. C. B. Pearse, of H. M. S. Cumberland was killed instantaneously. Mid. shipman G. J. B. Noel, who was in the car, escaped with minor in-. juries.

Severe Shock.

Enquiries this morning solicited the information that Midshipman Noel in auffering from severe shock and minor injuries.

The two Naval officers had been playing golf and were returning ta Kowloon when the accident occurr ed. The exact circumstances of the accident are unknown at pre- sent, but It is thought that the. driver, in misjudging the narrow road, overabut the embarkment and} the car
