POOR ARMY WING HALVES
(BY STICKS)
Although led by two clear goals in the first half, the Hong Kong Hoc key Club recovered brilliantly, to force the Army to a draw in the first match of the Triangular Hoc- key Tournament at King's Park yes- terday.
The Army had the better of the exchanges throughout the frat half, but were unable to cope with the strong attacks by the Club after the interval when the tables
were
turned. Both sides made several good attempts in the final stages of the game, but the decidar was not forthcoming.
Lt. Garthwaite placed the Army in the lead early in the first half.
only and this proved to be the
goal in that half. Metcalfe and Rossier were soon conspicuous ati full-back for the Army, and the military forwards, who were woll supported by Halford in the pivot combina- position, showed better tion than the opposing line.
The Club forwards could not settle down. Potter being the only player to produce his tros form. J. E. Noronha falled to combine with Divett.
