local jockey, has been trans- ferred to Shanghai and will sail to- morrow by the President Jackson.

A prominent rider in Shang-j hai. Mr. Davis rode only during The second half of this season. recording his first win on Festi val Evo to pay $110.30 and $42.50 dividends. He later Won on Burgomaster and Treumseh, the latter paying $51.40 for a win.

The popular Wong Słu Ngao stable will thus be los- ing their star rider. and I understand that Burgomasier has yet to be fixed up with a jockey for the Subs. Cham- pions on Saturday week.
