The Time Factor In
Leading.
What has been called the "time factor" is an essential element in defensive play. The right lead must be made at the right time. and the right time
may be, and often is, the first and only oppor-
tunity.
With a trickless hand, the object of the initial leader should be to do as little harm as possible to bis side. Against a game or slam de- claration a truing, as pointed out last week, is often the best "blind" lead.
