A DOGGIE COLLEGE

There is a large school for dogs In Hollywood, California. It isn't only for dogs who are to act for the films, but for any dog that |needs to be trained before he can enter a nice home and behave as a nice dog should.

There are literally hundreds of |doggie pupils at this school. Big |doga, small dogs, fat dogs, thin dogs, doga with long talls, dogs | with short tails, dogs without talle. All kinds of dogs, and all as eager for their lessons as they are for the dinner bell.

Oh yea, they ring a bell for din- ner at the school, and the dogs know exactly where to go for their ment and biscuits!

The "schoolmaster" is a famous trainer of German police dogs, and all his commands to his pupils take the form of hand signals. A rais. ed hand means they are to get up, a lowered hand to sit down. A crooked finger orders them to come. forward, and a backward wave to Igo back,

Of course, a large number of the dogs eventually go on the films. But many, as I have said, just go to school as rather naughty, die obdient dogs, and go away” again In a month or so, still with tails a- wagging but as polite and well-ba- haved as doga can bef
