THE LATEST IN STOCKINGS.
New Jewellery.
The beginning of 1933 reveals some Interesting new fashion items which are likely, very soon. to become established favourities. In the matter of hosiery, for example, open mesh stockings of cobweb silk, like an Edwardian. lady's veil, are the latest kind to! make a bid for popularity. Shaded silk stockings are another new! idea. These are cleverly toned from the palest pinky-beige in the front of the leg te dark brown at the back seam.
Black tulle mittens, reaching to just below the elbows are an ex- periment ip evening gloves. Effec- tive, but decidedly not utilitarian. The clip brooch has now lead to the convertable brooch. The lat tor variety of jewellery may be a diamond which can be worn as e hair grip, (and is excellently qualified to keep recalcitrant locks: in place) a corsage brooch or a japel brooch.

An Upright Figure. A few minutes spent exercising every morning will work wonders, writes M. H. in the Evening News.. Here are a few exercises which will help you to keep that youtliful figure and correct any tendency lo slouch.
1. Kneel down, sitting back on the heels with the arms stretched upwards. Bend forward until the wrists are resting on something so- lid (about 1 to 2 feet high; a chair, stool or fender or similar thing). Then start pressing your chest downwards rhythmically, about twelve times.
See that you keep your elbows straight and your, head up between your arms. Repeat three times.
2. Stand with your feet about one foot apart, bend forward until your fingers touch the floor.
Then put the floor with your Sn-' gers as far forward and as far back- ward between your feet as you can.
Do not bend your knees.
Beat the floor five times in front Then and five back alternately. straighten up and rest. Repeat the movement five times.
7 Always breathe well and deeply before an open window if possible, between each exercise.
For evening dresses Molyneux uses a ribbed crepe, which may be artificial silk without any shine to: it. In cream-white he makes a long
