Shanghai, Tuesday, INPRECEDENTED scenes were witnessed at the

Ploneer Field ground on Satur- day when the whole of the Chinan Football team walked off the field of play as a protest against the referee's decision in awarding the Tung Hwa team with a penalty. "Darky" Chen, the Interport for- ward, was clearly disgusted with the referee's decision and the rest of the team needed no urging to follow him from the field.

The referee took little notice and signalled for the kick to be taken and N. Lee drove the ball into an undefended goal. Chinan, however, returned to the field after the players had discuss. ed the situation for several mo- ments and won the game by 3 goals to 2 thus smashing Tung Hwa's un- bealen record.
This incident follows close the heels of other irregularities which the Shanghai Football Ag- sociation have been confronted

China Welterweight Champion- ship title to Raul Talan at the Auditorium on Saturday night, when the referee surprised a packed house by awarding the newcomer from "Mexico City the verdict on a points decision over ten rounds.
It is believed that Talan's splen- did ring craft won him the title, as Creighton was the aggressor throughout. Creighton weighed in) at 1464 lb and Talan at 142.
The winner has left for Japan where he hopes to be engaged in several tournaments prior to his return to Amorica for an invasion of the West Coast.

THE combined efforts of Mr. E. W. Railton, of the Y.M.C.A., and Mr. Mok Hing-kwai, Chairman of the Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation, will probably result in the reorganisation of the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association,
European and Chinese Swimming Clubs have been invited to send representatives to a conference which will be held in Lane, Crawford's Restaurant at 5.15 p.m. on January 6. At this meeting two points will be discussed in detail:-
(a) The reorganisation of the Association and the consequent paying off of the outstanding, bill to the Victoria Recreation Club."
(b) The Triangular Interport between Tientsin, Shanghai and Hong Kong which is to be decided in the Colony next year,
