Bristol Rovers caused a sen- dation yesterday when they de Tested Cardiff City, donc Cup fighters, by the convincing margin of 4 goals to I in the First Round of the F. A. Cup. Southend beat Exeter and Luton and Gillingham advanced into the next round. After extra time Bournemouth and Torquay were still on level terms.
Cardiff City, who have reached the Final Round on two occasions in the last eight years and wơn the Trophy once in that period, were held to a draw by the Rovers at Cardiff оп Saturday. Yesterday they were clearly outplayed in the replay and their decline was made even more evident.
