Brilliant Smashing Wins Third Title.

PAST HOLDERS.

(By ACE).

W. LO and his sister,

my expectations on Saturday when they gained a comfort- able victory over Capt. Barry and Mrs. Lochner by scores of 6-3, 6-1 to carry off their third Colony Mixed Doubles Title at the Chinese Recrca- tion Club.

M, Enid Lo, came up to

It was the alternate year and I was not disappointed. The Los have figured in five finals- every final since the competition was inaugurated in 1928 and they have now won the title in alternate years.

Last year Mrs. Lochner, also figured in the Final Round, and, partnered by L. Goldman, caused a mild sensation by defeating the Chinese R.C. pair and win- ning the tournament.

THE PLAY.

Capt. Barry opened the first set by losing the first game at 15-40, his first two service points going into the net."
