The Harbour Ofica Reports for the 24 hours ended at 9 am yea- terday gave a free movement of vessels with a high tonnage.

| Freights were moderate, only the throughs reaching five figures The total tonnage entered was 45,745

THE CHINA MAIL

There were 10 inward regia- tries, of which four were British and two of four figures, while of the 12 throughs, six were British and seven of four figures. Two vessels arrived in ballast.-

Passengers entered during tha period included 111 Europeans and 486 Asiatic deck, British vessela carrying 431 out of the total in all classes.

The Air Mail Service from Salgon to Europe is weekly. The Hong Kong-Salgon connection will be maintained by the regular fortnightly sailing of the French mail steamers, and on alternate weeks by any available steamers that can make the connection at Saigon.

Letters for this route should be marked "Saigon-Marseilleà `Air Service" and handed in at the G.P.O. or Kowloon Post Office.

The time used.. is Standard, or mean time of the meridian of 120-dag. Exiled 00h. Is midnight, 19hra, la noon." The heights are referred to the datum of the largest scale Admiralty chart of the place and should be added to the depths given on the chart anlass pEE- İcaded by an asterisk (*), when they should be 'subtracted from the depths.
