SECRET NEGOTIATIONS.

It is reported that negotiations for the acquisition of the White Star Line by the Gunard Company |are nearing completion, and that the two Beets will be merged when the deal is carried through.

Discussions between the directors of each company have been carried through with the utmost secrecy.

Rumours that, merger was being negotiated early this year were, strenously denied, and not a whis per of the renewed discussion has [reached the shipping world.
