Yui Shi-wei, the Chinese national champion for the 800-Metres and 1,500-Metres who was selected to represent China at the Tenth Olympiad, j will not make the trip, according to Gunsun Hoh, who accompanied Yui and Liu Chang-tsung to Shanghai from Peiping.
Liu Chang-tsung will thus be the only Chinese athlete competing in a field expected to exceed 2,000 competitors, and the responsibility placed on him is indeed a heavy one. "I do not expect to win any of the races," he said, "but I will do my best to let the world see that China has also taken up west- ern athletics in earnest, I am glad of the chance given me.'

On Saturday the tourists beat Sadec by six goals to nil. The goal-scorers for South China wdre Chue Kwok-luen (2), Ip Pak-wah (2), Lee. Yee-sun and Wong Ka-leung.
On Sunday the South China. XI beat the Victory Club and Nam Sing Combined XI by four goals to one. Lee Wai-tong, the skipper of the tourists,scored twice, whilst Lee Yee-sun and Ip Pak- wah added the re- maining goals.
