When I start fighting I am no longer lighthearted: "All-in" wrestle ing is a rough game. A false move. or a moment's hesitation and you may get badly hurt. I am in dead- ly earnest from the start. I am a coloured man, ao: I know I must not take any liberties in the ring. For the first minute or two of the bout I study my opponent's methods. see if he is fighting Greco-Roman style or catch-aa-catch-can. Then 1 fight him in his own style.Jim: Wango, "The Black Devil.”

"Don't say again that Ian Smith is finished!" I told myself after the Twickenham game. His incredible speed saved several tries, and the one chance. he had saw him score brilliantly. As for Wood, at left- centre, he is a football genius like Ralph, of Wales; tricky with his cut-through, but never selfish. It was the best international of the five I saw this season-Polaris In the Star.
