Carnera Worried
BRITISH HOPE ACTUALLY CARRIES FIGHT TO GIANT ITALIAN.
BUT LOSES ON POINTS DECISION

London, April 8.
Donald McCorkindale, the South African champion and British "hope," lost on points to Primo. Carnera, the Italian giant, in a ten-round heavyweight contest at the Albert Hall last night.
Conceding five stones in weight and six inches in height McCorkindale is now. the only British boxer and the first boxer in England to go the full distance with Carnera. He actually carried the fight to Carnera and from the point of view of boxing skill he was the Italian's master. For the first time in his career Carnera looked apprehensively at the referee at the final bell.
Primo Carnera, the Italian giant, were always in the way. Carnera defeated Donald McCorkindale, the began to look worried, and none of South African champion, on points his blows got home to show serious at the Royal Albert Hall, London, effect. last night, The contest was over ten rounds. Carnera weighed 19st. and McCorkindale S1st, 10lb.

MCTAVISH ON THE MARK.
Playing in their first hockey match since their return from Shanghai, the 93rd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders yester- day defeated the Hong Kong Hockey Club second eleven by five goals to one in a fast, and Interesting encounter at King's Park. The Argylis fielded a strong eleven which combined with excellent understanding. The Club, on the other hand, played only ten men.
From the bully-off, exchanges were very even, but the Club's four] forwards were not combining well and many an opportunity went astray. Taking up the attack, the Argylls took the lead through' McTavish, who scored with a fast shot that had Moses well beaten, Shortly afterwards they increased; the lead, through Lamont, who sent; in a shot from the left. The Club lodged several fruitless attacks, Williams, the Welsh International, finding the bumpy ground a handi- cap to his quick stick work.
