Visitors to Kew Gardens during the coming season will for the first time have an opportunity of study, Ing tropical plants in their natural surroundings.
Hitherto the caeti and orchids, the exotic shrubs and Seville orange trees which are on view at Kew, have been visible only in the con ventional settings provided by glasshouses. A new house, how ever, has now been constructed where a scenic background will pro
·vide a suitable setting for some of the tropical plants.
