The Members of the League agree, further, that they will naturally support one another in the financial and economic measures whicht are taken under this Arti- cle, in order to minimise the loss and inconvenience re- sulting from the above mea- sures, and that they will mutually support one another in resisting

any special measures aimed at one of their number by the coven- ant-breaking

The sanctions under Article XVI, so far as we are aware. have never yet been applied. There have been occasions, in the decade just gone by, when consideration of them as a means to ending a dispute has been threatened, but the threat, alone, has always succeeded, "80 far, in bringing a happy ending to such disputes. Cases in point are, the Jugo-Slav Invasion of Albania in 1921, the Italian de- monstration off Corfu in 1923, and the Greecian invasion of Bulgaria în 1925.
