H.M.S. Petersfeld, with Adiniral Sir Howard and Lady Kelly and their daughter, Miss Kelly on board, went ashore on the north side of Tung Ying Island in the early morning of November 12. The ship was surrounded by rocks, and is a total loss. All hands were saved, and several merchant steamers passing rear went to the scene of the wreck. The C.P.S. Empress of Asia brought Lady Kelly and her daughter back to Hong Kong. A full story is chronicled in the OVERLAND CHINA MAIL.
