The French Foreign Legion is no longer a haven for criminals. The police have arrested a young man, Rene Dagneau, a member of the Legion, and charged him with the murder of a gardener at Fontenny, near Paris. The crime, it is alleg ed, was committed by two men. Both tried to enlist for service. In the Foreign Legion, but the other. was rejected. Dagneau was accept- ed and sent to Marseilles.
