match, and the Malaya Chinese v. the United Sor vices match, are but examples of the autocratle, unhelpful, and un- nympathetic attitude towards the Chinese Clubs — un attitude which is inconsistent with the raison d'etre of their membership of your Association, namely, the desire to promote friendly feelings between Europeans and Chinese in the realm of sport.
4.-In view of the position which the Clubs are now prepared to take up, as will be fully set out in this letter, it might seem unnecca- sary to enter into the merits of the incidenta above referred to. But the Clubs feel strongly that, in justice to themselves, their caso against your Association should be set out at length, not only as a justification of the attitude they have adopted, but in order to ac- quaint your Association with the precise nature of the nets plained of, in order that your As- sectation might avoid a repetition of similar acts in the future.
