One of the most interesting figures at Geneva this year will be Mr M. B. Cotsworth, whose whole life has been devoted to the cause of calendar reform.

After travelling in sixty-three countries, where he examined all known calendars and they are very numerous Mr. Cotsworth has lat- terly been Adviser to the League of Nations on Calendar Reform.

His own plan for a year of thirteen months, with each mouth exactly twenty-eight days, already used for account- ancy purposes by the railway companies and many of our largest business concerns, and In all prob ability will be recommended to the nations of the world by the League of Nations Conference on Calendar Reform which is to be held at Geneva in October.

Mr. Cotsworth, who is a Fellow of
