A joint committee of the Foot- ball Association and Football League announced a decision yes- terday which may involve the 'ex- tinction of the Clapton Orient .F.C.
This was that a scheme, in which the Arsenal. F.C. were con- cerned. to carry the Clapton club over a financial crisis could not be accepted, us no provision was mude to discharge outstanding liabilities amounting to about

This led to the setting up of a joint committee of the F.A. and the League, who decided that the Arsenal could not 'take part in the management of the Orient Club, and that the receiver should dispose of the assets to a new company.
The club were unable to find the financial support necessary for the formation of the new company. and the Football League granted a period of fourteen days from July 20 for the submission of a scheme.
