Old Resident of H.K. Passes Away.
GOVERNMENT PENSIONER.
An old servant of the Govern-
ment of Hong Kong passed away last night in the person of Mr. Francisco Sales de Souza.
Mr. de Souza, who was 76 years of age, took seriously ill yester- day morning and it was consider- el advisable to take him to the Government Civil Hospital, where he died in the evening.
He had been a Government pen- sioner for over 30 years, being formerly a clerk in the Police De- partment. His wife predeceased him 26 years ago, and his three children (a son and two daugh- ters) all entered the Church. Only one daughter now survives him, and she is Superioress of a Franciscan convent in China.
Relatives in Hong Kong in- clude two nephews, Mr. Artur de: Souza, of the Treasury, and Mr. R. M. de Souza, purser of the s.a. Sui Tai, five nieces, and a number of grand-nephews and nieces.
