The explosion of a steam pipe In the engine room of the Burma Oll Company's' steamer, Masimpur, as a result of which three members of her crew sustained severe burne, compelled the steamer to put into Colombo on June 12 for the purpose of landing the injured men.
When the steamer arrived in Colombo one of them was in a critical condition, his whole body beling disfigured by burns. All three victims of the accident were sent to the General Hospital imme- diately after the Masimpur'a ar rival in Colombo.
