87. Drawing Office. The number of plans prepared was 20 sets for sales, 172 sets for leases, and 122 sets for surrenders. 113 miscellaneous tracings and 6,275 sunprints were produced and twelve 200′ to 1′′ sheets retraced. Government Departments were supplied with 2,139 plans and the Public with 129 prints.
88. The "Copycat" printing outfit produced 5,572 prints and the "Photostat" reproduction outfit a further 1,818 prints and 666 negatives.
89. Maps of Hong Kong and New Territories were amended and brought up-to-date, and work started on a new plan for the Central District of Victoria.
90. 889 negatives for Progress Report Photographs were taken for the whole of the Public Works Department. 2,079 contact prints and enlargements were made. In addition, the Civil Aid Services requested large scale plans for all their Zoning Areas and Controls which entailed much detailed preparatory work before the final sheets could be supplied. These totalled 6 sets comprising 77 film negatives, 84 enlargements and 588 copycat prints.
Survey.
91. Mapping. The mapping activities of the survey office were confined to the making of cadastral and large scale maps and plans only, there being an adequate series of small scale maps produced by the War Office.
92. Triangulation. Six major triangulation stations and one minor triangulation station were repaired, and nine minor stations established.
93. Control Traverses. 6 miles of main traverse and 78 miles of minor traverse were run, fixing 36 new picket boxes and refixing two.
