23. Sha Tau Kok Village Police Post. Plans for this police post, consisting of a charge room, cells, offices, recreation room and barrack accommodation for 16 rank and file were approved, and construction commenced in February.

24. Sham Shui Po Police Station Extensions. Sketch plans were prepared to provide additional barrack accommodation for 288 rank and file, 12 N.C.O.'s and quarters for 7 single officers, but owing to the pressure of other work, very little progress had been made on the working drawings.

25. Western Police Station. In order to keep the old police station in operation during construction of the project work will be carried out in three stages:

Stage I utilizes the adjoining site of St. Peter's Church on which to erect a building containing the new Police Station on the ground floor with barrack accommodation over for 116 rank and file, 24 N.C.O.'s, 24 police women and single quarters for 23 officers.

Stage II provides for a block of twelve flats for married officers to be erected on the site of the old police station which will be demolished.

Stage III provides for the erection of a block of 112 flats for rank and file on the south side of the site.

After approval of sketch plans working drawings for Stage I were put in hand.

26. Government House Police Post. Plans were prepared with accommodation for 15 rank and file and one officer. Work was commenced in March.

Education Department.

27. Grantham Training College. This scheme was referred to in last year's report. Work was completed and the college was opened by H.E. the Governor on 29th May.
