The patrons of an American bar in the west of Berlin were recently witnesses of a startling scene, the protagonists in which were a Briton named Mancha and a viper from the Balkans.

The Briton, who came off worst in the encounter, was ap parently a victim of his curiosity. A German with whom he was sit ting had communicated to him! that inside a bag which he was carrying was a snake.
