Mrs. Dunn said that the "boy" disappeared on April 5, and later was informed that he had taken service in MacDonnell Road. He declined to return to work for her for a further Afteen days. His wages were $25 a month.
The Magistrate said that he was satisfied that the "boy" had not given aufficient notice or paid a month's wages in leu of such notice. These cases, however, were rare, and in view of the good character given the defendant, he' thought the payment to the com- plainant of $10 as compensation would meet the case.
