The elder daughter of the late Keith William Stewart-Mackenzie
of Seaforth, Lady St. Heller was the sister of the late Lord Seaforth, and also of Julla Marchioness of Tweeddale.
Sho was twice married. Her first husband was Colonel the Hon. John Constantino Stanley, second son of the second Lord Stanley of Alderly, by whom she had two daughters, one of whom is the Countess of Midleton and the other Mra. Augustus Allhusen.
Colonel Stanley died in 1878, and three years later she became the wife of Mr. Francis H. Jeune, who was subsequently appointed Pre- sident of the Probate, Divorce, and Admiralty Division, and, received a knighthood. He was raised to the Peerage as Baron St. Heller in 1905. Their only son, who was a Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards, died unmarried at the age of 22. On the death of Lord St. Helier the peerage became extinct.
