In the House of Commons to-j day, replying to Brigadier-Gen- | eral H. Brown (Conservative, i Newbury), Mr. Arthur Hender- son, the Foreign Secretary, stated that no further conference had been held since November between His Majesty's Minister in China, Sir Miles Lampson, and the Chinese Government in regard to the latter's default in its obliga- tions to British bondholders of Chinese bonds, although there had been a good deal of corres- pondence with the Government of Chinu. Sir Miles Lampson had been collecting information in re-i gard to the British claims.

Mr. Henderson referred to pre- vious replies which he had made on the question. and asked that police be given of a question by Mr. A. M. Samuel averring that the Chinese Government issuing internal loans which were standing in front of the loans which were in default.-Reuter.
