At the eleventh annual meeting, (and also the eleventh birthday) of the Young Women's Christian As- sociation, held yesterday in the new headquarters in Bonham Road, the President, Mrs. Ma Wing-chan, ex- pressed thanks to the subscribers and campaign workers for their generosity which had made the new home possible.
Mrs. Wong Kwok-shuen, Hon. Treasurer, read the financial statement. The price of the new but property had been raised, $6,600 was needed to cover exten- nion, alteration, equipment and furniture. This sum, plus $9,400 for the year's expensas in 1981, will be sought in the coming financia!! campaign.
Annual Report.
Points from the annual report were that 93 children were enroll- ed in the two Child Welfare Con- tres. The Girls' Department had grown to 350 members in eleven clubs. The Graduates' Club and Young Married Women's Club also reported satisfactory progress. Educational classes showed an en- rolment of 125, and educational schools for factory girls and ser- vants had attracted about 90 stud ents. Guests in the Hostel during the year averaged 85.
