Insurances. Both Canton and Jong Kong Fires rose simultaneous- to a buying rata of $1,300. Unions were sold at 3615/20, but there were further buyers at $625 at the close. China Underwriters again firmed up a bit with buyers uffering $3.50.
There is very little change to re- port during the week under review prices for the most part having re- mained fairly steady, except for minor fluctuations here and there. Hong Kong Banks, and Unions have been marked up to a new high record in sympathy with the weakness in the price of Silver. Other good investment stocks have been in strong demand which con- tinues, unsatisfied. In the specu ative section China Lights and walow, Hong Kong Trams have bean ather weak whilst Cements have Leen firm. The tendency in this section appears to be downward in view of the approach of the Chinese New Year.
