Reverting to the letter as hav- ing been left by the accused in a drawer and which he said the Police had overlooked, Mr. Hodgson stressed the important bearing it had upon his case. He complained of its exclusion by the Crown, and submitted that it should have been looked for by the Police.
The Magistrate said there was no evidence at all as to how it was obtained.
