A shocking tale is told of a triple murder at a lonely village at Sheungshui, in which two women and a man were the victims of three armed robbers. Lance-Sergeant J. J. Post, of the Police Traffic Depart ment, died in the Government Civil Hospital, on December 28, as the result of serious injuries which he received when he was thrown from his motor cycle in Lower Albert Road,. on Christmas Day, Sanitary Inspector E. Savage passed away after a heart attack early on the morning of December 27. The third death was that of the Rev. W. F. Crosthwait, M.C., M.A., C.F., which occurred in the Military Hospital. Their deaths and funerals are fully reported in the OVERLAND CHINA MAIL.
