A double tragedy in which husband is alleged to have cut hia wife's throat and then attempted to take his own life by cutting his
throat was enacted at a Chinese
lodging house in Tanjong Pagar Road.
The police were called in and both the man and the woman were found with wounds in the throat. The woman was lying dead in bed. The man was removed to the Gen- eral Hospital and his condition is considered critical.
