HONG KONG TIDE

The fide-table given below has been obtained by aid of the Tide-predict- ing Machine, which includes 40 com- ponents for the better prediction of ides, from the result of the manlysis of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidal observatory under the direction of Dr. Deberck during the years 1867, 1888 and 1880.

The times, and heights are givan for Kowloon; bat they may be used for the Victoria Naval Yard and

Aberdeen, the differences being very amall.

The times of high and low-water must not be considered to coincide with the times of slack-water and change of current, the two phenomens being quite distinct
