POLICE STATION TRAGEDY.-

ALLEGEÐ GRUDGES BY EUROPEANS.

Statements by Assailant..

At last a possible renson for the Lok Ma Chau tragedy has been suggested by an Indian witness, Santh Singh, the Indian inter- preter "at the station. He produced two English translations of statements made by the "amok" (Dalip Singh), in Hindustani, in reply to charges made against him by the Officer-in-Charge, Ser- geant Madgwick, and by the A.S.P., New Territories (Mr. W. le Bart Sparrow). Dalip Singh's reply to both these charges contained an allegation that the European Officers concerned bore. grudges against him.
