Seas and ships have, intrigued Tryon's imagination as far, back as he can remember.
One of his favourite diversions, when he can get away from the set, is to go to San Pedro, the port of Los Angeles, where he can wander Along the wharves and through boatbuilding establishments, and watch the ocean streamers arriving and departing..
Tryon is for ever studying plans of yachts as given in boating pub- lications, and one of his greatest ambitions is to go on a. long yacht cruise to distant lands. ・・
Two African wilderness areas, 3,000 miles apart, afforded the "location" for the 60,000. feet of film laken by Ernest B. SchoedBack and Merian C. Cooper, adventure- camera man and directora, in mak- ing their third-epic Alm, "The Four Feathers." The first "shots" were takes in the Red Sea hills section, The others on the East coast. were taken on the Rovuma River, 3.000 miles to the south.
The picture comes to the Central Theatre to-morrow.
