HONG KONG TIDE

The tide-table given below has been

des, from the result of the analysis obtained by aid of the Tide-predlet- ng Machine, which includes 40 com ponents for the batter prediction of of the tidal observations, taken at the Kowloon tidal abservatory under

the direction of Dr. Deberck during

the years 1887, 1888 and 1889.

The times and heights are given for Kowloon, but they may be used for the Victoria Naval Yard and Aberdeen, the differences being very small.

The times of high and low-water must not be considered to coincide with the times of black-water and change of current, the two phenomena being quite distinct.
