LEADERS. =
MAKING MATTERS SECURE.
♫
The joint-leaders in Division I of the Lawn Bowls League, the Craigengower C.C. and the Civil Service C.C. went further ahend on Saturday. They have now placed themselves
such comfortable distance from the other competitors that it cal safely be assumed that cham- pionship issue will lie be tween these two sides. Taking the points from the Club de Re- creio, it is hoped that the Kowloon Dock R.C.'s run of ill fuck has at last deserted them.
The Kowloon B.G.C. and the CS.C.C., who are on the same level at the top of affairs in 'Division II, re-asserted themselves by trounc ing, the Club de Recreio and the C.C.C. The Talkoo R.C. had mat- ters much their own way against the Electric R.C.
Apart from the victories of the C.S.C.C., the Kowloon C.C. also | secured a "double."

The European Y.M.C.A. set an example to other laggard clubs by staging a double-header, taking on the South China A.A. and the Uni- versity. They played alternate sets with each opposing team, and incidentally, recorded their first victory of the season.
In the "C" Division, the Chinese R.C. who literally ran away with the Nippon Club, annexed the championship. Being two points ahead of their nearest rivals, the Hong Kong C.C., the result of their one remaining fixture will not affect their position.
