DEATH OF VICE-ADMIRAL JONES.

Vice Admiral John George Jones, whose death is, announced, when serving as a lieutenant in HMS. Charybdis, on the East Indies Station, took part in the operations against the Malays in the Lingie and Lukat Rivers on the Malacca Coast. He retired from the active list in 1890.
