192. Maintenance of Workshop.
In the Workshop the manufacture and repair of various articles required for the maintenance of Waterworks pumping plants, machinery, hydrants, valves, etc., and for other sub-departments and departments, was continued. A total of 678 orders were dealt with, 623 being for Waterworks.
193. The annual inspection and overhaul of boilers in Government buildings was carried out. In addition, 8,695 meters were dismantled, overhauled, and tested.
194. The costs of operating the Workshop were charged by transfer to the respective heads of expenditure.
Miscellaneous Waterworks.
Typhoon and Rainstorm Damage.
195. Damage caused by typhoons and rainstorms occurred mainly to catch waters and buildings. Repairs to buildings were carried out by the Architectural Office at the following:-
