Dr. Nunsen's death, which came unexpectedly while the explorer was talking to his daughter-in-law, has evoked world-wide expressions of condolence; and was commemorated at an extraordinary meeting of Parliament which was crowded to listen to an oration by Mr. Hambro, the President,' extrolling the rich scientific and humani- tarian services of Dr. Nansen.
