Washington, March 18. Acting Secretary of the Navy Johnicke recently approved the sale of six obsolete cruisers and one yard tug at a total price of $286.707.20.
Three cruisers, the Albany, New Orleans, and the Salem, all located at Mare Island, of San Francisco, were bought by D. G. Seargroves, San Franciaco for $89,305. The Charleston and the Huron, once the South Dakota, located at Puget Sound, were sold to Abe Goldberg & Co., Seattle, for $118,222.20.
The Frederick, once the Mary. land, at Mare Island, was sold to Rothenberg and Sugarman, Oak- land, California for $68,400 while the Yare tug lively at Mare Is- land, was bought by the Puget Sound Tug and Barge Co. of Seattle, for $10.780.--Asoriated Press,
