China Wins Sunday Herald Cup Contest

RECREIO GOING STRONG

By their victory of five clear goals

won on Saturday, China

the Sunday Herald Cup for the first time since its presentation in 1925. Scotland put up a plucky display but, on account of only one pre- vlous trial run, could not cope with the good combination of China's eleven.

Mrs. R. H. Kotewall presented the Cup to Mr. Lam Yuk-ying, China'a Captain, with little Margaret Camp- bell handing Mrs. Kotewall a vaso of carnations decorated in the H.K.F.A. Colours."

Recreio continued their winning ways by defeating Kowloon by the odd goal in three, while the Somer- sets took up the winning vein by mastering the R.A. by two clear goals.

The Navy Juniors continue to threaten to displace the K.0.5.B. at the head of the table by their defeat of Kowloon (by four goals to nil). As was expected Eastern. Ewo and St. Joseph's bagged full points from the R.A., Club and R.A.M.C., respectively, The Somer- sete had a shock by being beaten by S. China "B" after having had the greater part of the play.
