The principal event of the week has been the annual meeting of the shareholders in the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. As the greatest banking institution in the Orient the Chairman's annual review of the trade and commerce of the Colony and of the Far East In general is Invariably keenly anticipated.
