The Chinese Athletic suffered a Severo reverse last Saturday, K.O.S.B. being their masters every department. It is to be hoped that this lapso fa only momentary for they cannot afford to lose points if they have serious in- tentions for the Champlonship.

A great game was followed at Sookumpoo last Monday, by the faithful followers of the K.O.S.B. and the Navy. These two elevens. no doubt had it in their mind's eye that the Champlonship might be won or lost by this encounter, which would account for them giving of their best. With both teams at the peak of their form the play was of a high order, in fact, it is reputed to be the best anme of the
season.

This failure put renewed energy into the Navy's front line and they were soon back again to get their opponents' last line into difficulties. Van Tromp's clever lob to Firth's head richly deserved success, effort being very annoying for Shears when he discovered he could not get at it effectively.
